Be part of something rewarding, by joining Greater Anglia you’ll be helping our customers get from A to B. With a staff of over 2,500, we operate a busy commuter service from London Liverpool Street to destinations across the east of England.

Our Operations department is integral to the smooth running of our trains and we have an opportunity for enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to join the team as trainee depot driver.

Based at one of our five depots, you will cover a wide variety of duties including the preparation, marshalling and disposing of vehicles at your depot, coupling and uncoupling and re-marshalling trains, depot driving, shunting and reporting any irregularities, faults and movement problems.

You will work an average of 35 hours per week, and shifts are over a 24 hour period. The role will involve early starts, late finishes, weekend and bank holiday working.

Able to work well on your own, you will be an excellent communicator, comfortable dealing with both customers and colleagues alike. An organised individual with excellent concentration and attention to detail, you will have the willingness to accept the high level of responsibility associated with this role and the ability to work effectively.

Please note that you will not be permitted to take annual leave in the first six months of training
