An excellent opportunity has arisen within Engineering at Crown Point Depot for a Yard Controller. You shall be required to lead a team of Yard Assistants and work closely with the Depot and external teams to ensure trains are delivered for maintenance and returned to service on time.

The Successful applicant shall be responsible for the control and authorising of all movements at Crown Point Depot, Undertake shunting, yard & multi-tasking activities as required, Supervise the Group activities to ensure that safe working environment is maintained, responsible for conducting Yard Staff competency assessments and administration of Fleet systems in accordance with local procedures.

This position is 3 shift (early, late and nights) and involves weekend working.

Required to undertake and pass a Railway Shunters course, A1 Assessor course and must be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
