An opportunity has arisen within Engineering at Crown Point Depot to join the yard team as a Yard Assistant.The Successful applicant shall become part of a team responsible for the safe movements of trains, ensuring trains are delivered for maintenance and returned to service on time.

Undertake shunting, yard & multi-tasking activities in accordance with laid down standards and procedures, Fuelling and C.E.T. duties including record keeping, Maintain effective communication with staff at all levels within Crown Point Depot complying with safety critical communication protocols at all times, Operate Cremorne lane crossing as required and Ensure Crown Point Depot Yard areas are kept clean and tidy.

This position is 3 shift (early, late and nights) and involves weekend working.

You will be required to undertake and pass a GA Railway Shunters course, Maintain competence through the continuous competence assessment process and must be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
