Line of Route Technician

We have an excellent opportunity within the Engineering team at London Liverpool Street for a Line of Route Technician.

Main Duties:

You will provide support to the fleet team which includes rectification of fleet defects. You will also provide information to improve quality of reporting to assist depots in fixing the fault first time and the provision of real time advice to train crew dealing with fleet incidents.

You will carry out repairs of Greater Anglia T&RS as directed; in accordance with maintenance instructions and local procedures, both locally (home station) and at out-based locations as required. You will coordinate with the Fleet Support Technician on the timing and delivery of failed units, ensuring the depots are aware of the incidents and that a rectification is required.

What we are looking for:

You should be a qualified technician from a railway background. You will be flexible and computer literate with a good understanding of 90 loco’s and 153/156/170 DMUs or 315/317/321 EMUs. You will mainly work under your own initiative but with guidance from the Line of Route Team Leader.
