Supervisor Orient Way

We have an excellent opportunity within our Operations department in Orient Way for an Operations Supervisor.

You will provide supervision of Carriage Sidings and other locations under the remit of the Operations Manager and Driver Managers who have responsibility to marshall the trains within the yard to suit the business needs.

You will ensure security is maintained at all times, be responsible for correct time departures for all trains, have the ability to learn new rules and safety procedures and undergo yearly examinations to demonstrate competence,  and be able to work on your own and as part of a team when required. You will be responsible for the Safe and Efficient working of Orient Way Sidings carry out planned general inspections as well as depot inductions for other departments.

You must be able to maintain legible paperwork work and able to maintain a high level of concentration at all times whilst carrying out shunting duties. You will have a flexible approach to work as the role requires you to work 3 shift patterns and weekends and Bank holidays. You should have your own transport to get to and from work. Driving licence would be preferable but not essential.
