Online Manager

We have an exciting opportunity to join the commercial team, working as the Online Manager, where the successful candidate will be responsible for managing e-commerce activities (desktop, mobile, app), and optimising the user experience and conversion rate to drive online revenue for Greater Anglia (GA).

Key accountabilities:

You will manage a number of key online supplier relationships to ensure customer satisfaction is maximised at all stages of their digital journey, whether seeking GA information, content or buying a ticket. You will also work closely with the wider Commercial Development team to ensure they understand the needs of GA’s various customer audiences, plus support Revenue, Retail, Customer Experience, IT and project teams in achieving their objectives.

To create and implement the online channels strategy for GA to ensure key metrics are delivered: revenue, conversion rate, average order value and cost per acquisition. Regularly monitor all customer feedback for online channels to ensure the user experience always meets the needs of those travelling by rail.

Work in close collaboration with the marketing team to ensure site content and landing pages are aligned to the online search funnel and optimised to aid campaign delivery and conversion, while ensuring the website is optimised for SEO and conversion of other traffic sources. Manage key supplier relationships with the Web Developer and the WEBTis provider (Trainline) and other ad hoc development specialists to ensure contractual, strategic and revenue goals are achieved.

What we are looking for:

You will have 4+ years of online marketing/ e-commerce experience, expertise in the implementation of a successful online sales strategy, in rail or other industries, where you have driven significant annual online revenue growth. Be able to demonstrable skills gained working in high performing eCommerce teams, encompassing conversion optimisation, multi-channel, micro targeting, personalisation and content planning.

Demonstrate ability to extract the key insights from data and turn into an action plan for improvement. Have had exposure to a digital transformation programme project, in a multi-channel retailer or service business.

Good time management and influencing skills imperative as are stakeholder management and communications skills. Have the ability to undertake multiple projects at the same time with a highly organised and logical approach.
