Lead Driver Manager

Our Operations team are responsible for 800 drivers across our network, and as a lead driver manager you will lead a team of drivers to deliver consistently high standards of train operation. Other key deliverables will be to ensure compliance with Greater Anglia route, traction, rules and regulations and safety knowledge for your driver team through recognised measurement and monitoring of competence.

Main Duties:

To lead a team of drivers in line with the company behaviors to deliver consistently high standards in keeping with national or Company guidance, whether statutory, legislative, or commercial. Promote safety, punctuality, security, information and customer service through all avenues, challenging poor practice and recognising excellent performance.

Demonstrate a high level of focus on right time departures, investigating and reducing train delays and improving train running performance. Be highly visible, communicative; professional and proactive. Engage with all local stakeholders both internal and external to operate a right time railway. Lead the process to produce efficient and cost-effective rosters.

Responsible for the nominated traincrew depot and all aspects of the depot performance, this includes cleanliness/facilities/ monitoring assessment process /risk assessments/signing on point compliance which may include admin such as posting of notices and rosters.

What we are looking for:

Demonstrate competence of Railway Operating Rules, procedures and arrangements. Understanding of control management, service delivery and recovery. Be well organized, able to prioritise, IT literate, inclusive, team orientated and forward thinking.

Willing to work unsociable hours and adapt to business needs as required.
